Easter Eggstravaganza - CANCELLED

Come out to the Malcolm Blue Farm and visit with the Easter Bunny, get your face painted, and hunt for Easter eggs. The event is open to ages 9 and under.  Ages will be divided as such: 0-3, 4-6, and 7-9.  Face painting, pony rides, train rides, and petting zoo will start at 10:00 a.m. and the Easter egg hunt starts at 11:00 a.m.  Don't forget you Easter basket!  Malcolm Blue Farm is located at 1177 Bethesda Road.

Spring Break Day Camp - CANCELLED

Camp runs during the Moore County School's spring break week.  Campers will take field trips around the county and enjoy several fun activities.  Children are required to wear closed to shoes through the duration of camp and must bring their own lunch, snack, and water.  Camp is open to ages 5-12. A registration form can be downloaded here.

Summer Day Camp

Aberdeen Parks and Recreation is offering seven weeks of fun and excitement at day camp. Campers will play group games, participate in arts and crafts, and go on field trips around the county. Each week is a different theme. Open to ages 5-12. A registration form can be downloaded here.

Dates: Week of June 15th to Week of July 27th
Time: 7:45 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday
Location: Aberdeen Recreation Center
Registration: February 17th - June 5th or until full
Cost Per week: $85 Aberdeen Residents
                          $130 Non-Residents

Mini-Masters 1/2 Day Art Camp

Create your own masterpieces with instructor Nicole Torres. Campers will learn about famous artists throughout history and create fun replicas. Campers will need to bring a water bottle and snack each day. Open to ages 5-12.  A registration form can be downloaded here.

Time: Ages 5-8 - 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. 
          Ages 9-12 - 2:00 - 5:30 p.m.

Fun Family Fourth of July

Celebrate Independence Day with an evening of live entertainment, food vendors, and activities for all ages. Purchase a Kid’s Zone wristband ($5) for your child, which allows them unlimited access to the rock climbing wall, inflatable slides, bounce houses, obstacle course, and more. Grab your blankets and lawn chairs and bring family and friends to enjoy one of the largest and most exciting fireworks displays in the area! Movies by the Lake

Join us July through October, for family movies on the big screen. Concessions will be available for purchase. Sponsors are always needed for our movie nights, if interested please call Aberdeen Parks and Recreation 910-944-7275.

Let's Go Fishing

Aberdeen Parks and Recreation Department has rods and reels available for rent inside the Aberdeen Recreation Center Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.  The rental is free for residents and $3 for non-residents.  

NC state law requires ages 16 and up to have a fishing license.  A 10 day license is available at Wal-Mart for $5.  Ages 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Town of Aberdeen Parks & Recreation Department's Fee Policy 

The Parks and Recreation Department is an agency of the Town of Aberdeen and receives municipal tax revenue paid by residents living inside the corporate limits of the Town.  Others who live outside the corporate limits are charged a higher rate for participation in our programs because they do not pay Town taxes.


The policy for application of this fee differential is as follows:

You must live inside the corporate limits of Aberdeen at the time of your registration in order to be charged the Town of Aberdeen resident rate.  All others will be charged the non-resident rate.

Refunds of fees paid for most activities will be made under certain conditions.  For allowed refunds, there may be a refund fee of up to $5.00.  Refunds are not available after the activity registration deadline except for substantial hardships.  Complete refund policy is available upon request from the Parks and Recreation Department.
