Moore County now accepting applications for the 2012 Urgent Repair Program.
Low-income homeowners in Moore County are encouraged to submit an application for assistance under the 2012 Urgent Repair Program to the Planning & Community Development Department by 5pm on Friday, September 28th.
Under this grant income qualified applicants can be assisted with the removal of imminent threats to life or safety in the home. Wheel chair ramps, grab bars and other accessibility features are commonly installed under this grant for persons with disabilities. A maximum of $6,000 in repairs may be invested in any single home under this program.
Priority for assistance will be given based on income and special needs including those who are elderly, disabled, large families or single-parent households.) Most of those served under this grant will not have incomes above 30% of the area median income according to the chart below. A small number of those served under this grant can have up to 50% of the area median income.

The URP is a $75,000 grant awarded to Moore County by the North Carolina Housing Finance Agency. It is anticipated that at 13 homeowners will be served under this grant.
